Thomas's Petfood factory - Mars Group

The complete side cladding of the factory in Yorkshire was given a facelift with the Akzo-Nobel Steelseal system. The PVF₂ coated sheets were showing signs of deterioration and after thoroughly preparing the area, a 4-coat system was applied in the existing colours which brought the building back to its former glory.

At the production factory at West Houghton near Bolton, the whole of the roof was recoated using SCM3308 GE Silicone rubber compound. The roof is approx 20 years old and was showing signs of breakdown to the plastisol coating and cut edges. After preparing all edges and roof fixings, the area was then coated with 2 coats of GE Silicone rubber which enhanced the life expectancy without disruption to the production process.

We have greatly enhanced the look of several stores by recoating with the Akzo-Nobel Steelseal system. Importantly, the company colours were incorporated, giving not only a clean and distinctive look to their stores, but also long lasting protection
